Learning network

A focus of the cluster’s work is to develop learning networks in the area of process efficiency. Through company-specific examinations and consultations, accompanying workshops and regular exchange at round tables, process innovations are jointly established.

Service innovations

Chemie-Cluster Bayern initiated a workshop series in September 2009 to identify innovative service know-how inside the company. On the basis of case studies (i.e., chemicals leasing) promising service innovations are developed as profit centers. As a learning network, Chemie-Cluster Bayern establishes methodical recommendations to act upon and guiding principles in the areas of:

  • optimised application of service know-how in companies
  • further demand of special service expertise in respect of marketable service products

  • integration of customer-side resources (knowledge, process expertise) into one’s own service processes

  • transfer of own process know-how to customer.

Ressource efficiency

In a first enquiry of current process optimisation requirements amongst cluster partners, the areas of energy and materials efficiency as well as management of hazardous goods turned out to be relevant fields of action. The installation of a learning network in the area of resource and energy efficiency serves to:

  • reduce production costs and reduced costs for raw, auxiliary and operating materials as well as reduced disposal costs

  • unique selling points through offensive marketing of ecological production

  • increase of innovation capacity in the company
  • new possibilities of internal employee qualification

At the same time, Chemie-Cluster Bayern plans a corresponding association of “interlinked learning networks” with European partner clusters in the chemical industry.
