Der Lehrstuhl für Elektronische Bauelemente betreibt Forschung und Entwicklung in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Industrie auf den Gebieten der Mikro- und Nanoelektronik, Leistungselektronik, Mechatronik und Materialentwicklung.

The Chair of Electron Devices conducts application-oriented research and development in close cooperation with industry in the fields of micro and nanoelectronics, power electronics, mechatronics, and materials.

Der Lehrstuhl für Elektronische Bauelemente (LEB) an der Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg wurde 1985 gegründet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die enge Kooperation mit dem Fraunhofer-Institut für Integrierte Systeme und Bauelementetechnologie (IISB) in Erlangen, das in Personalunion mit dem LEB geleitet wird.

The Chair of Electron Devices (LEB) at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg was founded in 1985. Very important for chair is the close collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute of Integrated Systems and Device Technology (IISB) in Erlangen, which is directed in personal union with the IISB.
